Virtual Forum Scheduled For Hoover Election Candidates
A virtual candidate forum for Hoover's municipal elections will be held in August.

HOOVER, AL — The Hoover City Schools Foundation, the Hoover Rotary Club and the Hoover Sun will sponsor a virtual candidate forum for the Hoover City Council and mayoral races. The Candidate Forum is scheduled for August 18 with times to be announced later and will be presented in a Facebook Live event from a ballroom at the Wynfrey Hotel.
“Given the success of our previous forum, we hope this event will provide a space to continue that discussion, answer questions from the community and listen to plans from those seeking office,” said Jason Deluca, president of the Hoover City Schools Foundation Board of Directors. “We anticipate that education will again be a central topic of interest by residents and the candidates in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic.”
Only the candidates for office will be present for the forum and residents will have the ability to submit their questions through the Foundation’s Facebook page for a limited time prior to the event. Candidates for Places 1 through 7 for City Council will be featured first, followed by mayoral candidates at the end of the evening.
