Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

  1. Bob Jones High School’s cybersecurity team has been accepted to be a part of the Order of the Sword and Shield, a cybersecurity honor society. This made the team at Bob Jones the first high school team to be accepted into a cybersecurity honor society. This is an opportunity that will help students build their resumes, earn scholarships, and start their career in cybersecurity. (WHNT)
  2. Anna Reece Reeves, a 5-year-old Albertville girl, received a camper as part of Make-a-Wish. The camper was given to Reeves and her family by Landers McLarty Subaru and Bankston Motor Homes. Reeves is one year in remission from Stage 2 Clear Cell Sarcoma to the kidney.(WHNT)
  3. Free 2 Teach will be opening their doors Tuesday to help teachers get prepared for the upcoming school year. Teachers are able to peruse the shelves and take items to help their students have the best opportunities to learn. There are limits on items, but teachers leave with an average of $565 worth of supplies. (WAFF)
  4. Let There Be Music is a new concert series in Madison! It will be on the Old Black Bear patio and donations will go toward the Madison Rotary Performance Pavilion and the outdoor amphitheatre in Home Place Park. (Rocket City Mom)
  5. Six kittens from the Greater Huntsville Humane Society traveled to Atlanta to take part in a movie! While the movie can’t be announced yet, you can still adopt four out of six of the kittens as of writing this! (Facebook)
