Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:

  1. The grave markers of three veterans from Huntsville have been stolen recently. The Alabama Veterans Affairs will be returning the now-found markers to their rightful places and Retired Army Officer John Nolan is working to make sure families are aware. (WAFF)
  2. The UA System Chancellor has recommended that Dr. Charles Karr be named the interim president at UAH after Dr. Dawson retires at the end of the year. Dr. Karr spent 26 years at UA, including time as the Dean of the College of Engineering. (UAH)
  3. Amazon is bringing 900 new jobs to Alabama through three new sites, including one in Limestone County! This facility will bring in 250 full-time positions and will be one million square feet. (WZDX)
  4. UAH is being sued by a group of students for infringement of their freedom of speech. The students have said that UAH?s policies on when and where students can hold expressive events makes it inaccessible and unfair. (WAFF)
  5. Despite the entire state being listed in critical need of blood donations, North Alabama is doing alright. We have a very consistent donor base, but make sure to donate right now if you?re able. (WAAY)
