Meet an “Amazing” Who Thrills to the Feel of a Mallet & Horse
Ed can't even conceive of not playing, for him the love of the sport just goes on and on.

Ed Robbins, 85, holds the Guinness World Book Record for being the oldest polo-player in the world, but that’s not what gets him going. It’s the sport itself, which he loves so much he founded the Bluewater Creek Polo Club in Alabama, just one year after he started playing. He wasn’t exactly a natural – his first thought on hefting a mallet was “How do you swing what feels like a tree?” But Ed persisted, and welcomes anyone who wants to play to his club. Which means he plays with all ages, including 16 year olds, who are astounded at his ability. Ed can’t even conceive of not playing, for him the love of the sport just goes on and on.
