  1. Acting Secretary of the Air Force, John Roth, went to bat for Huntsville to be the new location for Space Command’s headquarters. He said that regardless of if it stayed in Colorado or moved to Huntsville, they would have to build a new building, and that was much cheaper in Huntsville. (Space News)
  2. According to Mo Brooks, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of the process server that trespassed on his property. The charge is a Class A misdemeanor of first-degree Criminal Trespass. (WAAY)
  3. Zach Harting, a 23-year-old swimmer from Huntsville, just qualified to be on the U.S. Olympic team. Harting won the men’s 200 butterfly with a time of 1:55.06. He is already making plans to get an Olympic rings tattoo, a tradition for many athletes that make it to compete. (AP)
  4. According to Madison Neal, with the eviction moratorium ending at the end of this month and an extension not likely, now is the time to apply for rental assistance. It will not be an automatic system that gives you assistance, but the applications you must fill out are available online. (WHNT)
  5. “Eureka!” is a summer program for eighth-grade girls to learn about STEM fields and get hands-on training in construction. Aiyana Willoughby says they are given power tools, wood, and a manual to build a birdhouse and benches that will be placed around the city. (WZDX)
