Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

  1. Several organizations, including Huntsville City Schools and Refuge Church, have teamed up to give out food this Saturday. They will have 40,000 pounds of groceries at Milton Frank Stadium to hand out until they?re gone! (WZDX)
  2. UAH?s president Darren Dawson has announced he will retire at the end of this year. Dawson took the position in June of 2019, and said he is leaving to deal with personal issues. There will be a press conference today to discuss the transition. (AL.com)
  3. Huntsville Hospital has opened up their visitor policy for non-COVID patients! Now, two visitors will be allowed with each general or ICU patient. Every other part of the policy will remain in place for the time being. (WHNT)
  4. ?Sweetness and Light: Children in Illustration? is a new exhibit that is pening November 14 at the Huntsville Museum Of Art. This show is exclusive to our museum and will have about 35 pieces. (quadcitiesdaily.com)
  5. Mayor Battle delivered the State of the City address yesterday. He spoke of what Huntsville faced during the past year with the pandemic and how despite that, the city has seen incredible growth and development. (WHNT)
