Allstate employees to install free smoke alarms for homeowners

The Allstate Foundation to earn grant to support the American Red Cross's disaster relief work in Alabama

Allstate agency owners and financial specialists from Mobile will come together Nov. 4 to secure an Allstate Foundation Helping Hands® grant to benefit the Alabama Region of the American Red Cross. The grant will support the nonprofit organization’s mission to respond to disaster in a moment’s notice by providing relief to emergency responders as well as financial assistance to those affected by the disaster.

The agency owners and financial specialists will each earn $1,000 for the American Red Cross by installing free smoke alarms in the homes of their customers. On Nov. 4, as a part of the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign, Allstate volunteers will go out in their community and install the alarms and help homeowners develop a safety plan. The American Red Cross will use the grant to further its disaster relief work in the state.

The participating Allstate volunteers are among thousands of agency owners and financial specialists around the country working to strengthen communities by volunteering their time to support the causes they care about most.
