Alabaster Looks At Re-zoning For Shopping Center

A public hearing has been scheduled for Feb 12 regarding the re-zoning of a shopping center near Interstate 65.

ALABASTER, AL - A public hearing to discuss the re-zoning of the District 31 shopping center in Alabaster has been scheduled for February 12.

According to a report by the Birmingham Business Journal, Alumni Properties has made the request to move from residential to mixed-use so the 350,000-plus-square-foot center can be built across from the Propst Promenade shopping center near Interstate 65.

District 31 will be a 75-acre Power Lifestyle Destination Center designed to complement the shopping and dining district of Alabaster, one of the fastest growing areas of the Birmingham metro area.
