Two Suspects Arrested In Helena Carjacking

The Helena Police Department arrested a male and female suspect after a carjacking on Highway 52 Monday.

HELENA, AL — Two suspects in a Helena carjacking have now been arrested. Baylee Anne Wood and Montrey Cave were both taken into custody separately in the last 24 hours.

Helena police investigators obtained warrants on 19-year-oldWood for robbery 1st degree and theft of property 1st degree. Wood was reportedly the driver of the Jeep Cherokee in the robbery that occurred on July 15th. She was arrested Tuesday night and held pending formal charges, which were made official Wednesday.

Helena investigators obtained warrants Tuesday against another suspect in the case, 20-year-old Cave. He was identified via security footage from the Marathon station on Highway 52 where the crime occurred. Cave was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Alabaster, according to a report by the Helena PD.
