Birmingham Bulls Advance To SPHL Semifinals

The Bulls took the last two games of the quarterfinal series over the weekend to advance to the semis.

PELHAM, AL - The Birmingham Bulls season is still alive, after the team defeated the Fayetteville Marksmen Sunday to advance to the Southern Professional Hockey League semifinals. The Bulls won the quarterfinal series 2-1.

After an unexpected loss at Fayetteville Friday, the Bulls returned home to Pelham to sweep the homestand, starting with a 3-2 victory Saturday and a 5-0 shutout of the Marksmen Sunday.

The Bulls will face the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs in the semifinals, with the series starting on Thursday in Roanoke before returning to Pelham for the next two days. Roanoke defeated top-seeded Peoria over the weekend.

The Bulls are 4-3 against Roanoke this season.
