Bulls Goalie Receives League Honors
Birmingham Bulls goalie Mavric Parks was named Player of the Month for Novembe and Player of the Week for Nov. 26-Dec. 2.

PELHAM, AL - The Birmingham Bulls are enjoying a fast start to the 2018-19 season, and they keep racking up the accolades as the Bulls goalie Mavric Parks was named the Southern Professional Hockey League Player of the Week for Nov. 26-Dec. 2, and the STX Player of the Month for November.
Parks went 9-0-0, posting a 1.56 goals against average, a 0.952 save percentage and two shutouts in leading the Bulls to a new SPHL record as Birmingham won their first 11 games of the season.
The Ontario native allowed two or fewer goals in seven of his nine outings but faced fewer than 25 shots in just two games. Parks twice recorded 41-save outings, including a 3-0 blanking of Pensacola on November 30.

Now in his second season with Birmingham, Parks currently leads all SPHL goalies in wins (10), goals against average (1.50), save percentage (0.954) and shutouts (two - tied) and is second in both minutes and saves.

The Bulls are currently in first place in the SPHL with a 15-2 record and resume play at home at the Pelham Civic Complex Dec. 14 and 15, and again on December 21.
