SHELBY COUNTY, AL - Construction will begin in April on a new trail in Shelby County, a project that will include 10 miles of trails in the new Cahaba River Park near Helena and southwest Hoover. Construction should be completed by late fall, adding to work the county has already completed. There are already seven miles of trails on the northern portion of the park off Shelby County 13. Currently, the county is building two pavilions and a restroom.
