PELHAM, AL - Construction began Wednesday on several railroad crossings in Pelham, which will close the crossings for up to two days. The Pelham Police Department made the announcement Wednesday via social media.

"Despite our best efforts to communicate with CSX, we only received word this morning the work had begun," Pelham PD said in a statement. "We realize this is an inconvenience for so many of you, and we apologize that we were not able to inform you of the closures before now."

  • Hwy 52
  • Hwy 11
  • Weatherly Way
  • CR 332
  • Windwood Cir
  • Dickerson Rd (CR 334)
  • Kendrick Rd

"It is unclear when the work will reach these crossings, so please be aware they could be closed at a moments notice," Pelham PD said. "We will do our very best to notify you of each closing."
