County Road 26 Blocked At Walker Run

SHELBY COUNTY, AL - A fallen tree and downed power lines on County Road 26 in Shelby County has caused a temporary closure of the road at Walker Run. This location is near the Family Connection facility between Alabaster and Columbiana.

Alabama Power crews are responding to help clear the roadway. Motorists can use Highway 31 and Highway 70 as an alternate route around the blocked road, according to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office.

UPDATE: At approximately 5:00 p.m., the road blockage on Highway 26 was cleared and is now open for travel.
