The Drama Continues In 2016 Colonial Pipeline Explosion Fallout
Official claim was filed Friday, Dec. 15 in Shelby County for lack of Colonial Pipeline's action in land restoration post-2016 explosion.

HELENA, AL — An official complaint was filed this past Friday in Shelby County Circuit Court against Colonial Pipeline for their poor job in cleaning up the land that was damaged during the pipeline’s explosion on Oct. 31, 2016. The plaintiffs in the claim are Timothy Webster, LMA Shelby Investments, LLC, and Cahaba Outfitters, LLC, according to al.com. They are requesting punitive and compensatory damages.
In the complaint, it states, "The release of gasoline onto Plaintiffs' land caused extensive contamination to the land in, under, and around the Pipeline. It also caused gasoline and other contaminants to be discharged into uncontained surface or subsurface areas and waters. The discharge of such contamination and pollution was widespread and is continuing in nature.”
