Fatal Accident Closes 280
A fatal traffic accident on US 280 in Shelby County caused delays and detours near Chelsea Saturday
SHELBY COUNTY, AL - Shelby County Sheriff's deputies and Chelsea Fire and Rescue medics responded to a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 280 westbound at the intersection of Chesser Plantation Lane early Saturday morning..
The accident was serious with one fatality and one passenger critically injured. US Highway 280 westbound was closed immediately and remain closed until noon, while investigators worked the accident.
