Learn How To Photograph Owls, Hawks, Raptors At Oak Mountain

Oak Mountain State Park will host a photography class focused on capturing pictures of owls, hawks and other raptors July 28.

PELHAM, AL - Capturing the beauty of birds in nature is no easy task, as anyone who has tried will likely tell you. But photo and bird enthusiasts have the opportunity to learn about photographing owls, hawks and other raptors at Oak Mountain State Park July 28.

Class participants will learn about photographing these fascinating birds, beginning with a class lecture covering bird photography, composition, lenses, camera settings, followed by photography sessions at the Alabama Wildlife Center and the Treetop Nature Trail, both located at Oak Mountain State Park.

The Photographing Owls, Hawks, Raptors class is taught by Meg McKinney, a professional photographer. Class fee is $20 per person, plus $5 park admission, per person. Class fee is payable with cash, or PayPal + $2 admin fee to Meg McKinney Photos.
