Pelham 4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

PELHAM, AL - What has become a much-anticipated annual event in Pelham is back again, as Fire on the Water returns to Oak Mountain State Park July 3.

Gates open at 7 a.m. Come and spend the day at Oak Mountain, grab a good spot on the beach and enjoy the day in the park as you wait for the show to start. Gates will close to the public at 7 p.m. Food trucks will be on site (food trucks and vendors will take card payments) as early as 10 a.m. for the lunch crowd and will remain onsite serving until 9 p.m.

Food vendors this year include: Master Tacos, Dixieland Funnel Cakes, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Pazzo Big Slice. Swamp Monster BBQ, Dreamcakes Bakery, Monzy's Deli, City Bowls 2, Cookie Destiny, Chubbfathers, 24-7 Concessions, Venice Gelato, Lemonade and Urban Pops.

Beer will be sold by park staff on the Beach from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Guests can bring your own chairs/blankets for viewing the show, and will be allowed to bring in their own coolers (no outside alcohol allowed). The park will have picnic tables available throughout the event area, and there are grills scattered throughout the park open to the public. Picnic tables and grills are first come first serve.

And of course, there is the fireworks show. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. and the show lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Rain is expected Thursday, but forecasts show skies to be clear by Thursday evening in time for the fireworks display.
