Pelham Athletic Director Named State AD Of The Year

PELHAM, AL - Pelham City Schools athletic director Kim Kiel was honored recently as the Athletic Director of the Year by the Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association.

Kiel has been involved with Pelham High School athletics for 20 years where she has served as the head girls’ basketball coach, the head girls’ volleyball coach, assistant softball coach and assistant athletic director. She took over as the system-wide AD in 2014.

In addition to her daily duties to the coaches, students, and athletic programs in Pelham, Kiel also serves as the President of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association and has recently been named as a District 5 board member.

"Coach Kiel's ongoing leadership and contributions to athletic programs and student-athletes extend beyond Pelham and throughout the state, and she is truly deserving of this distinguished recognition," said a statement by the Pelham City Schools board.
