Pelham To Host AARP Conference On Fraud

PELHAM, AL - Cases of fruad and scams are on the rise, and the targets of these crimes have been predominantly people over the age of 50. This is why the American Association of Retired Persons and the Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging are presenting a conference on fraud and scams at the Pelham Civic Complex.

The conference, Freedom From Fraud, will take place May 20 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The presentation will include a panel of experts comprised of private, federal and state organizations who will provide consumers with examples of what to look out for and information on what to do if you become a victim of fraud or identity theft victim. Panelist will be available to answer questions both during and after the event.
