Pelham School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

PELHAM, AL — The first day of school in Pelham is August 9 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Pelham City School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/3: Labor Day, Schools Closed

• 10/8: Columbus Day
• 10/22: District Parenting Day, No School for Students

November

• 11/12: Veterans Day Observed
• 11/21-11/23: Thanksgiving Recess, No School

December

• 12/19: Flex Professional Development
• 12/20-1/3: Winter Recess, No School

January

• 1/4: Teacher Workday, No School
• 1/21: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, No School

February

• 2/18: Flex Professional Development, No School

March:

• 3/25-3/29: Spring Break, No School

April

• 4/15: Flex Professional Development, No School

May

• 5/23: Last Day of School/Students Dismissed at 1 p.m.
• 5/23: Pelham High School Graduation
