Sheriff's Office Continues Search In 2 Missing Persons Cases

Two missing persons cases between a year and two years old continue in Shelby County.

SHELBY COUNTY, AL - Two missing persons cases from 2017 are still being investigated by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office posted on social media last week that the search for John Adam Hyde - missing since May of 2017 - and Steve Jerome Vick - missing since October of 2017 - are still ongoing.

Hyde's family reported him missing on May 4, 2017, from Montevallo. His vehicle was found on May 14, 2017 near the Slab in Montevallo. John was 39 years old at the time of his disappearance, and is described as being 5'9", and weighing around 220 lbs.

Vick has not been in contact with his family since late 2017 and would now be 48 years old. He was last seen in October of 2017 in Columbiana. A flyer from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency lists Vick as an endangered adult.
