Teen Accused Of Trying To Extort Sexual Images From Child
A Georgia Teen is in the Shelby County Jail after authorities say he attempted to extort obscene images from a child.

SHELBY COUNTY, AL - A Georgia teenager is behind bars in the Shelby County Jail, accused of threatened a girl’s family with financial harm, physical harm or to have them deported if she refused to send him sexually obscene photographs.
A report by the Trussville Tribune said 19-year-old John Vhrix Gagarin was charged with electronic solicitation of a child, two counts of sexual extortion and obstruction of justice for giving a false ID to avoid arrest.

Gagarin reportedly contacted the girl, who is a child, through a cell phone and attempted to meet with her and engage in sexual acts. Court documents said that Gagarin threatened the girl’s family if she did not comply with his demands. The threats included physical harm and Gagarin is alleged to have said, “your parents will be dead.”
Gagarin was booked into the Shelby County Jail with a $140,000 bond.
