Warriors Tagovailoa, Kight Honored By USA Today

Thompson football standouts Taulia Tagovailoa and Amari Kight made the USA Today All-Alabama Team.

ALABASTER, AL - Although the Thompson Warriors were unable to finish the 2017 season as state champions, despite being ranked atop the 7A polls the entire season, a couple of the school's players were honored by USA Today.

Warriors QB Taulia Tagovailoa and OL Amari Kight were named to the first team of USA Today's 2017 All-Alabama Team. Tagovailoa, a junior, transferred to Thompson this year when his family moved from Hawaii to be closer to Tagovailoa's older brother, who is a QB with the University of Alabama. Tagovailoa has not made a college decision yet, but he has offers from Alabama, Hawaii, Florida Atlantic and Oklahoma State thus far.

Kight, also a junior, has offers from most SEC schools, as well as Oregon, Oklahoma State, Louisville, Oklahoma, Memphis and Southern Miss.
