Arrest Made After Two Injured In Tuscaloosa Motel Altercation
Investigators have arrested a Tuscaloosa man in connection to a Tuesday morning incident at a motel that left two people injured.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa man has been arrested and charged with assault and felon in possession of a firearm after two people were injured in a Tuesday morning incident at the Motel 6 on McFarland Boulevard East.
Sid Antwan Carter, 32, was arrested sometime after the shooting, which the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to at approximately 5:55 a.m. Tuesday morning. He is currently being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with a total bond set at $30,000.
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, which is handling the investigation, said when officers arrived at the motel, they found a 31-year-old Tuscaloosa man shot once in the abdomen and another man injured.

Captain Marty Sellers said police detained multiple witnesses in the case and after talking with the involved witnesses and reviewing evidence in the case, investigators obtained a warrant for Carter's arrest.
He went on to say the incident appears to have involved narcotics and none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.
