City Of Northport Delays Garbage Pickup Until Thursday

NORTHPORT, AL — After ice and a wintry mix of snow and freezing temperatures impacted public services across Tuscaloosa County Tuesday, the city of Northport has decided to delay its trash pickup until Thursday to allow more time for conditions to improve.

Northport City Hall was also closed on Tuesday but expected to resume normal business hours on Wednesday. The temperature is currently 21 degrees in Northport, which will likely climb above freezing after 10 a.m.

The city's police and fire departments maintained normal operations on Tuesday and no major incidents or storm damage were reported within the city limits.
