Police Identify Tuscaloosa Man Killed In Friday Motorcycle Crash
The Tuscaloosa Police Department is investigating a fatal wreck involving a car and motorcycle on Skyland Boulevard Friday evening.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department says a fatal crash involving a car and motorcycle Friday evening claimed the life of a Tuscaloosa County man.
TPD confirmed the driver of the motorcycle —Jason Troy Banks Jr., 30 — was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash, which occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Skyland Boulevard.
Police said Banks was driving a 1981 Suzuki motorcycle west on Skyland Boulevard when he collided with the back passenger side of a 2014 Honda Accord as the car was turning left from Skyland into the Dirt Cheap parking lot.

The driver of the car was not injured and was reportedly one of several people who called 911 to report the crash at 6:34 p.m.
Members of TPD's Accident Reconstruction Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
