Flash Flood Watch For Tuscaloosa County Until 10 p.m. Tuesday

Be sure to be cautious on the roadways and if you live in flood-prone areas today as officials expect heavy rain capable of causing floods.

TUSCALOOSA, AL ? The National Weather Service's forecast office in Birmingham has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Tuscaloosa County and most of West Alabama until 10 p.m. Tuesday as heavy rain moves over the area.

The NWS said heavy rainfall, which is the latest in a series of systems that have drenched the area over the last few days, may result in localized flash flooding, especially in urban, low-lying and poor drainage areas. Meteorologist predict new rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch on Tuesday, along with higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
