Former Tide Outfielder Named Head Baseball Coach At Bevill State
Former Northridge High baseball coach and UA outfielder Travis Garner has been tapped as the next baseball coach for the Bears.

FAYETTE, AL — Bevill State Community College on Wednesday announced former Northridge High head coach and University of Alabama outfielder Travis Garner as its next head baseball coach.
Garner will have the tall task of rebuilding a beleaguered Bears baseball program that finished with a dismal 9-32 record in 2021, winning only five conference games in Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) play.
Garner made a name for himself in the high school ranks as a coach, heading up Northridge High School’s baseball program from 2008 to 2013, before going to to stints at Starkville (Miss.) High School and Caledonia (Miss.)

While with the Jaguars, Garner led the program to their best five-year stretch in program history, and became the all-time winningest coach in school history.
During his time playing for the Crimson Tide, Garner started on two SEC Tournament Championship teams (2002, 2003) and participated in two NCAA Regional Tournaments, earning All-SEC honors as an outfielder in 2003.
