PICKENS COUNTY, AL — Emergency officials in Pickens County responded to a small plane that made an emergency landing in the central part of the county on Thursday, just outside of Carrollton. Thankfully, the landing didn't result in any injuries.

Pickens County Ambulance Service took to social media to share a photo of the plane as it rested on its nose in what appears to be a field or pasture of some kind.

An official from the ambulance company told Patch on Friday that the emergency landing was due to a mechanical problem.
