Portion Of Highway 171 Temporarily Closed Due To Down Power Line

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is currently on the scene of a downed power line Highway 171 near the 10 mile marker.

ALEA says both lanes are completely blocked and will be closed for an undetermined amount of time. First responders are also at the scene assisting with traffic control.

Troopers encourage motorists to avoid the area if possible by utilizing alternate routes.
