Rush, Sullivan Honored By Chamber For Volunteer Service

Here is a list of 2021 honorees for the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama's 120th annual Awards Celebration and Annual Meeting.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama hosted its 120th annual Awards Celebration and Annual Meeting Thursday at the Bryant Conference Center, with several notable Chamber members honored for their efforts over the last year.

Kelsey Rush of Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports was named the 2020 Charles H. Land Member of the Year, which is the highest honor presented to an individual Chamber member. Rush serves on the Chamber’s Board of Directors and has been an active volunteer for the organization.

Chamber CEO and President Jim Page referred to Rush as an engaged volunteer and praised her contributions to the Chamber's efforts.

“Her willingness to tackle a range of issues that face not only our Chamber but the community make her an incredible asset," he said. "Her level of commitment is only surpassed by her talent and her vision.”

Longtime community banker Mark Sullivan was named the recipient of the Chairman’s Leadership after devoting his skills to the Chamber’s Small Business Relief Fund to help small businesses across the region during the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent economic downturn.

  • The H. Pettus Randall Entrepreneur of the Year - Luke Cox of Your Golf Superstore.
