Severe Thunderstorm Watch For Tuscaloosa County

Here's the latest as a line of severe storms moves through the area

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa County and a large portion of central Alabama have been placed under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 p.m. Saturday by the National Weather Service.

The NWS Forecast Office in Birmingham warns of wind gusts up to 70 mph, large hail and heavy rain. Tuscaloosa County is currently in the marginal risk area, as more severe storms are being reported to the south.
