1. City of Tuscaloosa Chief Financial Officer Susan Snowden and Mayor Walt Maddox both issued statements Wednesday, saying the CFO and the city had mutually agreed to part ways after Snowden was placed on administrative leave earlier this month. (More on Patch)
2. A motorist told Northport Police he lost control of his SUV while traveling on Lurleen Wallace Boulevard shortly after noon Wednesday, causing him to speed through the busy McFarland Boulevard intersection and crash into the front of the CVS Pharmacy. (More on Patch)
