Tuscaloosa EMA Holds Pop-Up Vaccine Registration In Taylorville
Tuscaloosa County EMA officials were on hand at the Winn-Dixie on Highway 69 S Thursday to sign up those eligible to receive the vaccine.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A line of about two dozen people snaked along the curb as Tuscaloosa County EMA officials had to bring in additional workers to help register those eligible to receive the coronavirus vaccine. The pop-up event Thursday at Winn-Dixie in Taylorville is one of many designed to help improve access to the vaccine locally.
Tuscaloosa County EMA will return to the Winn-Dixie on Highway 69 South Friday for a second round of registrations.
Tuscaloosa Patch spoke with Gregory Fontaine, an emergency management specialist for Tuscaloosa County EMA, as the agency plans for future initiatives.
