Thankfully, the shelter says a kind foster mother took Vera into her home, where she has adjusted wonderfully. She is now house trained and can get sit on command, so long as a treat is involved. Vera is also described as good with dogs and cats, alike.
The shelter wants prospective owners to know that Vera does have heart worms, but has already started treatment.
