TUSCALOOSA, AL — The University of Alabama System in its Friday online dashboard update reported low numbers of new coronavirus cases among the students, faculty and staff of its three universities, which follows the same trends send in overall case numbers and hospitalizations locally.

The system's Tuscaloosa campus confirmed 22 new cases among students over the last week, in addition to four among its faculty and staff. This made up the majority of the system's 29 total cases among students and eight employees during the testing period.
