Update: One In Serious Condition After Shooting Off Highway 69 S
One man is in serious condition and no arrests have been announced following a Thursday morning shooting in south Tuscaloosa County.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says a man is in serious condition after being shot Thursday shortly before noon in southern Tuscaloosa County.
VCU Commander Captain Jack Kennedy said the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting call at 11 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Maxwell Circle off of Highway 69 S.
Kennedy then said the victim was transported from the scene to a hospital with serious injuries.

"There is no reason at this time to believe that there is any danger to the surrounding area," he said. "At this time the investigation is active, with evidence being collected and witnesses being located."
