Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux Opens First Tuscaloosa Location
The Louisiana-inspired, sports-themed eatery officially opened on Monday after holding a soft opening Friday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa's newest eatery officially opened its doors on Monday after Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux held a soft opening on Friday. The occasion was marked with a ribbon-cutting by the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama Monday morning.
Started by a pair of former LSU men's basketball walk-on athletes, opened the first Walk-On's location on Sept. 9, 2003 in the shadow of LSU's Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, which has since expanded to more than 40 restaurant concepts across the country.
The 8,000-square-foot Tuscaloosa location is operated by franchisee Shane Morrison, with two restaurants currently open in Alabama (Montgomery and Mobile) and nine total as the brand continues to grow.
