Watch: PARA, Tuscaloosa Public Library Unveil First StoryWalk

The Tuscaloosa River Walk has been turned into a walkable storybook as part of the new Tuscaloosa StoryWalk concept that debuted Sunday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA), along with the Tuscaloosa Public Library officially unveiled the new StoryWalk Sunday, turning a local landmark into a walkable storybook.

The Tuscaloosa StoryWalk is a half-mile stretch with podiums displaying laminated pages of a children's storybook that can be read as participants walk the path.

The University of Alabama's College of Human Environmental Sciences also participated in making the first local StoryWalk possible.

What To Know: Other free StoryWalk locations are currently being developed for permanent StoryWalk trails in parks throughout the county.
