West Alabama Chamber Wins ACCE's 2021 Chamber Of The Year
The Chamber was named the winner of the highest honor given by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives on Tuesday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL ? Tuscaloosa has another national championship to celebrate after The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama was announced Tuesday as the 2021 Chamber of the Year in Category 2, which is the highest honor bestowed by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).
?I?m beyond proud of the membership that allows us to do this work, the volunteer leadership that provides the strategic vision, and the professional staff that executes at a high level," Chamber President and CEO Jim Page said following the announcement. "This is a team win in a community that expects nothing less.?

The award honors initiatives by the Chamber in 2019 and 2020, with the this year's winner given an extra year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

After being finalists were named earlier this month, Chamber of the Year winners were announced Tuesday at the ACCE's virtual Chamber Innovation Summit. To be named a finalist, competing Chambers had to first qualify and meet minimum thresholds in at least three of five key performance areas, including net revenue and assets, membership account retention, and membership dollar retention.
