TUSCALOOSA, AL — Fourth of July weekend is upon us and that will inevitably mean last-minute grocery store runs, figuring out what day garbage is picked up and generally having to navigate who will be open and closed.

Retail

- Walmart, Publix, Target and Winn-Dixie - regular business hours through the holiday weekend.
- Home Depot and Lowe's - regular business hours.
- Dollar General - regular business hours.
- All ABC stores will be closed on Sunday, July 4 and Monday, July 5.
- The University Mall will be open for normal business hours.
Public services
- The City of Tuscaloosa's offices will be closed Monday, July 5 and garbage, trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day this week.
- The City of Northport will be closed on Monday, July 5 and there will be no garbage or recycling collection that day. Monday's scheduled route will be picked up on Thursday, July 8.
- The Tuscaloosa County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, July 5.
- Waste Management and Rumsey Environmental will both delay pickup by one day next week.
- All Tuscaloosa Public Library branches will be closed today and Monday, July 5.
- Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority offices will be closed on Monday, July 5, but public parks and activity centers will remain open.
- All U.S. Post Offices will be closed on Monday, July 5.
