TUSCALOOSA, AL. — The Y Men’s Club this week announced plans to continue its 60-year Christmas Tree Sale tradition, beginning Nov. 27. The group will also offer online shopping to allow customers to buy a tree in advance and from a safe distance.

Proceeds from the fundraiser support the Tuscaloosa YMCA and help fund services like youth vans, senior fitness programs and Day Camp scholarships.

Those interested in purchasing a tree can click here, with the purchased trees available on Nov. 24. Free delivery will also be available within a 25-mile radius and is offered whether the purchase is online or from the tree lot located at Bowlero Bowling Center’s parking lot on McFarland Boulevard.

The group plans to sell Frazier fir trees ranging from seven to 12 feet in size. The trees are harvested from North Carolina’s Cold Water Rain Forrest in mid-November and shipped directly to Tuscaloosa.

Tree Sale Chairman Ted Sexton said he recently toured the North Carolina tree farm and found the operation and tree crop to be "top notch."
