City Council Discusses New Entertainment Districts
The Vestavia Hills City Council's work session involved, among other business, a discussion on two new entertainment districts in the city.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - The Vestabia Hills City Coincil's work session Tuesday night involved, among other business, a discussion on two possible new entertainment districts in the city.
According to a report by the Vestavia Voice, City Manager Jeff Downes said the Rocky Ridge Entertainment District is the only one in the city, but state law allows for up to two more, and said those could be located in Cahaba Heights and the City Center.
Downes said that the proposed area in Cahaba Heights would have the required four licensed alcohol purveyors, and is below the size limit imposed by the state. Across town at the City Center, Downes said the new owners of the development have expressed interest in having an entertainment district to enhance the new direction they hope to take the area.
