Clemson Coach Dabo Swinney Hugs Vestavia Hills High School Student Jake Pratt in Wake of Viral Video
The Vestavia Hills senior got a surprise when he went to the Clemson-Auburn game on Saturday.
VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — When Jake Pratt's touchdown went viral in week one of high school football play, the entire country took notice, including Clemson coach Dabo Swinney. When Pratt visited Clemson for their matchup against the Auburn Tigers, Swinney, a Pelham native, made a point to stop by and see the high school senior before the game.
Pratt, a Vestavia Hills student with Down Syndrome, came to fame in August when he ran for a touchdown in a prearranged agreement between Vestavia Hills and its opponent Briarwood Christian. It was Pratt's first touchdown and first time in game play.
