DYW Accepting Applications For Scholarship
The competition for Jefferson County will be held on July 20-22 at Vestavia Hills High School.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Applications are now available for the Distinguised Young Women of Jefferson County scholarship program. The free program offers nearly $1.5 billion in college scholarship money for Jefferson County residents.
In order to apply, applicants must be a junior in high school and reside in the county for which they are applying. The deadline for entries is March 1.
The application process will culminate in a competition which assesses candidate in five categories: interview, scholastics, fitness, self-expression and talent. There are prizes for a winner, first runner up and second runner up. Winners will compete in Montgomery the following January.
