Former Rebel Named Mississippi College Athlete Of The Week
A former Vestavia Hills High School baseball player was named Athlete of the Week at Mississippi College.
CLINTON, MS — Former Vestavia Hills High School baseball star Zack Ingram is starting the 2020 baseball season at Mississippi College on a high note, being named the college's Athlete of the Week for his recent pitching performance.
Ingram, tossed 6.0 innings, allowing just one hit and one unearned run, in an 11-1 win over Young Harris College last week. He struck out three batters with just two walks and did not allow a hit or a run to the Mountain Lions after the first inning.
Ingram, a 2016 graduate of VHHS, has been solid for the Choctaws throughout his career. The senior pitcher tossed a no-hitter during his freshman season, and has posted three 9-strikeout games in his college career.
