Help the Hills Coalition to Host Teen Stress, Anxiety Event

Help the Hills will host a community resource event alongside a discussion on how to combat teen stress and anxiety.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — As the number of teens seeking treatment for stress and anxiety continues to climb, Vestavia Hills parents may be looking for answers. The Help the Hills Coalition will hold a community resource event on how teenage stress and anxiety may lead to alcohol and drug abuse.

Al Saunders, director of the Wellspring Clinic, will lead a discussion hosted by Help the Hills, a group that works to end the abuse of harmful substances among teens. Saunders has a background in the treatment of anxiety, depression and other related disorders. Community representatives and other resources will be available at the event to give out more information and talk to parents.

The event will be hosted at the Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church's Tyson Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m., with the talk beginning at 6. There is no charge for admission.
