Italian Restaurant Chain Coming To The Summit

A new Italian restaurant will open in The Summit in March, and is holding a job fair to fill its staff this month.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — After planning an opening last year at The Summit, Arizona-based Italian restaurant chain North Italia plans to open in the shopping center March 3. The Summit location will be the first-ever Alabama location for the chain.

North Italia made an announcement in February of 2020 that it would open in The Summit last summer, but the COVID-19 pandemic altered the plan.

Beginning Jan. 27, prospective North Italia employees can meet with management an in-venue job fair. "Whether an aspiring restaurateur or seasoned professional looking for a change, North Italia is proud to help new talent craft their ideal culinary career," the restaurant announced in a release Friday. "From front to back of the house, each North team member will play a critical role in delivering a memorable, handmade experience."
