Milo's To Open In Cahaba Heights

A Milo's restaurant will open in the space once occupied by the Rite Aid pharmacy on Crosshaven Drive.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The Cahaba Hrights neighborhood will get a new fast food restaurant next spring. Milo's Hamburgers plans to open a restaurant where the Rite Aid pharmacy building is currently located.

The building will be a multi-tenant building with a drive-thru lane, according to a Vestavia Voice report. The restaurant will be smaller in terms of seating than the other Vestavia location on U.S. the parking will reportedly be similar and there will be some outdoor seating.

The company will also implement new design work to improve the drive-thru performance. The hope is to have a quick “in and out” service for patrons who frequent the restaurant, like the Inverness location, the report said.

The restaurant will share parking with several other businesses, and will be located near the new Chick-Fil-A restaurant also coming to the area. Crosshaven Drive is also undergoing road improvements, including widening and the installation of sidewalks, as a part of the city’s Community Spaces Plan.

Mary Duncan Proctor, marketing manager for Milo’s, said Milo’s will try to provide jobs in the area to Cahaba Heights residents.
